Admissions

If you want to seek admissions at San Diego State University or any of its colleges then you can apply for the same through common admission application. You need to file an application fee along with the application form. For Undergraduate and Graduate or Postgraduate baccalaureate Admissions there is a separate application process.

You are free to apply online too and in case you want direct admission you can contact the office of admissions. You should take care of the application deadlines and apply during the filing period itself. You need to thoroughly go through the application criteria and accurately fill in the required information. When your application will be processed you might have to provide some additional information in case the San Diego State University asks you for the same.

At San Diego State University you can also apply for Housing, Financial Aids and other Scholarships. For any of the scholarships or financial aids you need to fill another application form that is separate from the admission form and have to contact each office in order to receive the complete application information and other filing deadlines dates.

For Transfer Student Admission you have various options:
SDSU Service Area: High schools and community colleges* in San Diego Country that are located south of state route 56 and extending eastward AND Imperial County high schools. * IF you are in SDSU's service area and if you have completed 50% of your in one of the following:
1. Cuyamaca College
2. Imperial Valley College
3. San Diego City College
4. San Diego Mesa College
5. Southwestern College
6. Grossmont College
7. San Diego Miramar College

Outside SDSU Service Area: For high schools and community colleges located north of state route 56 and extending eastward.

San Marcos Service Area: Community colleges located north of Highway 56.
For this at least 50% of your course work should be completed at Palomar College and/or MiraCosta College.

Lower-Division Transfers
San Diego State University does not accepts applications for admission from lower-division transfer students.
